{Madrid, October 26th,\u00a02020}\u00a0The eMadrid network coordinator, Carlos Delgado Kloos, full professor and vice-rector of Strategy and Digital Education at UC3M, has been awarded twice during the Learning with MOOCs 2020 conference, organized by the IEEE Education Society. Specifically, he has received an award recognizing him as a Meritorious Service Member for his “outstanding contributions” to LWMOOCS; and another that marks him as the Best Lightning Speaker, for his presentation\u00a0<\/span>“Adjusting the Parameters of Educational Models”<\/a>. The awards ceremony has been virtual this time since, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event – which was scheduled to be held in Antigua, Guatemala – has been online.<\/span><\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_video src=”http:\/\/youtu.be\/d5cvurjn8i0″ _builder_version=”4.13.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][\/et_pb_video][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.13.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]

The\u00a0<\/span>Meritorious Service Member Award<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>recognizes dedication, effort, and contributions to the conference and is presented by members of the\u00a0<\/span>IEEE Education Society Steering Committee<\/strong><\/b>.\u00a0<\/span>Best Lightning Speaker<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0depends on the vote of the participants in the event, who evaluate the quality, originality and attractiveness of the different presentations.<\/p>\n

Other members of the eMadrid network have also participated in the conference, such as\u00a0<\/span>Manuel Castro<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>(UNED), with his presentation\u00a0<\/span>“New Practical competences for Industry 4.0 in MOOCs”<\/a>; and\u00a0<\/span>Emundo Tovar<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>(UPM), with an intervention entitled\u00a0<\/span>“Helping to develop new open practices in times of pandemics”<\/a>.<\/p>\n
