(Madrid, April 7th, 2021)\u00a0The\u00a0<\/span>eMadrid network<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>members\u00a0<\/span>Edmundo Tovar<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>(UPM) and\u00a0<\/span>Manuel Castro<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>(UNED) together with Hans J. Hoyer organize the\u00a0<\/span>WEEF\/GEDC 2021<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>congress (World Engineering Education Forum \/ Global Engineering Deans Council) in Madrid in collaboration with the\u00a0<\/span>International Federation of Engineering Education Societies<\/strong>, the\u00a0<\/span>IEEE Education Society<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>Madrid Convention Bureau<\/strong>. The eMadrid coordinator,\u00a0<\/span>Carlos Delgado Kloos<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>(UC3M), will be\u00a0<\/span>Program Co-Chair<\/strong>, thus co-chairing the Congress Program Committee. The event will take place between\u00a0<\/span>November 15th and 18th, 2021 in a hybrid format.<\/strong><\/p>\n WEEF \/ GEDC<\/strong>\u00a0is a meeting point that seeks to promote compliance with\u00a0UNESCO’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development<\/strong>\u00a0in the field of higher education. It sets, for example, goals and targets for\u00a0Quality of Education, Sustainable Quality Education 4 (SDG 4)<\/strong>.\u00a0WEEF \/ GEDC<\/strong>\u00a0covers very diverse aspects of higher education\u00a0\u00a0and in particular in\u00a0Engineering Education<\/strong>, the creation of sustainable development of technical and soft competences, inclusive education and effective in terms of learning outcomes related to the professional market and entrepreneurship. The theme of the congress\u00a0\u201cDiversity and Ethics in Education for an Inclusive and Sustainable World\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0implies a deepening of the application of engineering and education for a more inclusive and sustainable world.<\/span><\/p>\n All those who want to participate with a paper, seminar, panel, round table or\u00a0workshop can send their extended abstracts\u00a0until April 30th<\/strong>, 2021 through the\u00a0ConfTool<\/a>\u00a0platform.
