Carmen Fern\u00e1ndez Panadero<\/strong>, a member of the\u00a0eMadrid network<\/strong>, a professor at\u00a0Universidad Carlos III de Madrid<\/strong>\u00a0and a member of the\u00a0GAST group<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(Group of Telematic Applications and Services), will\u00a0be\u00a0one of the editors of the special issue of the magazine\u00a0‘Sustainability’: “Sustainable Technology and Elderly Life”<\/strong>. She will do it together with Professor Dr.\u00a0Ana Iglesias<\/strong>\u00a0(UC3M), Professor Dr.\u00a0Jorge Morato<\/strong>\u00a0(UC3M) and Professor Dr.\u00a0Sonia S\u00e1nchez-Cuadrado<\/strong>\u00a0(UCM).<\/span><\/p>\n

This Special Issue aims to collect contributions to\u00a0cover the research gaps in sustainable technology for elderly life<\/strong>, providing a reference resource to the scientific community working in this area.. The intention is to have a forum that collects current proposals that address the different challenges present in this field and aspire to a future where healthy aging with sustainable technology is possible. Specifically, the issues of the issue will revolve around topics such as\u00a0the elderly-friendly interfaces in robotics<\/strong>,\u00a0sensor technologies for the elderly<\/strong>,\u00a0data science AI applications<\/strong>\u00a0and \/ or artificial intelligence to process data collected by sensors with the objective to improve healthy aging, among others.<\/span><\/p>\n

The deadline for submitting articles is\u00a0May 31, 2021<\/strong>\u00a0and is done through the\u00a0MDPI<\/a>\u00a0(Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute) website. You have more details about it in this\u00a0link<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sustainability<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/a>(ISSN 2071-1050) is an international, cross-disciplinary, scholarly, peer-reviewed and open access journal of environmental, cultural, economic, and social sustainability of human beings.
