The decade that we have embarked upon presents enormous challenges for Europe. According to the fundamental goal of the ET 2020 WP: \u201cMaking lifelong learning and mobility a reality\u201d, economic, technological and organizational changes impose new demands for a Europe more responsive to the labor market\u2019s requirements. Flexible pathways have an important potential for encouraging participation in lifelong learning. In this framework, the\u00a0COMPASS project<\/a>\u00a0aims at facilitating the discovery of learning opportunities, as well as the composition of flexible lifelong learning pathways through standard-based online services.\u00a0<\/p>\n
