The eMadrid network will hold its\u00a0VIII Workshops on July 2-3, 2018<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span>Experts from academia and the business world will share with the audience the latest researchs in the\u00a0development of Technology Enhanced Learning, during two days focused on \u00abCyberlearning\u00bb<\/strong>.\u00a0The meeting will be at Puerta de Toledo Campus of\u00a0<\/strong>Universidad Carlos III de Madrid\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>(UC3M)<\/strong>, the institution that runs this project, in collaboration with the\u00a0UAM<\/strong>, the\u00a0UCM<\/strong>, the\u00a0UPM,<\/strong>\u00a0the\u00a0UNED<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0URJC<\/strong>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00abCyberlearning\u00bb will be the title around which several interventions will be developed to assess\u00a0<\/span>the impact that Technology Enhanced Learning is already having on education, as well as the exponential growth that these innovative methodologies will achieve around the world in the near future.<\/span><\/p>\n Following this approach, professor\u00a0<\/span>Miles Pattenden<\/strong>, from the University of Oxford, will speak about the\u00a0<\/span>Woolf University<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>project, the first higher education institution\u00a0<\/span>based on blockchain technology<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>being developed by the prestigious british university. So will\u00a0<\/span>Marcelo Milrad<\/strong>, full professor at the Faculty of Technology of the\u00a0<\/span>University of Linnaeus<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>(Sweden), who will analyze the use of IT to promote creativity and critical thinking among teachers and students. And\u00a0Paulo Blikstein<\/strong>, assistant professor at the\u00a0<\/span>Stanford University Graduate School of Education<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>where he directs the Transformative Learning Technologies Lab and the global FabLearn Program.\u00a0<\/p>\n Enrique Alfonseca<\/strong>, research manager at Google;\u00a0<\/span>Roberto Mart\u00ednez Maldonado<\/strong>, associate researcher and professor at the University of Technology in Sydney (Australia);\u00a0<\/span>Ainara Zubillaga<\/strong>, director of Education and Training at the COTEC Foundation;\u00a0<\/span>\u00c1ngel Hern\u00e1ndez Bravo<\/strong>, director of Blockchain Technology at IBM Spain;\u00a0<\/span>\u00d3scar Jerez<\/strong>, PhD in Psychology and Education and advisor at the University of Chile, among other institutions;\u00a0<\/span>Jan Vahrenhold,<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>professor of Computer Science at the University of M\u00fcnster (Germany); and\u00a0<\/span>Fabi\u00e1n Garc\u00eda Pastor<\/strong>, director of the professional school EIT Digital, are also part of a valuable programme, still open.<\/p>\n The programme of\u00a0<\/span>these free Workshops<\/strong>, that puts together experts from all over the world each year,\u00a0<\/span>includes a special session called \u00abLightning Talks\u00bb<\/strong>, aimed at promoting the most entrepreneur ideas in the field of educational technologies. Startups participating in this format may present, in consecutive sessions of about ten minutes, the projects they are working on.<\/p>\n The eMadrid Awards<\/strong>, an initiative that supports the research and development of educational technologies, will also be presented during the Workshops.
