During 25 and 26 April,\u00a0<\/span>the third annual ACM conference on “Learning at scale”<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>took place at the University of Edinburgh. In parallel and at the same university, the sixth international conference on analytical learning,\u00a0<\/span>“Learning Analytics & Knowledge”<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>took place from 25 to 29 April, which seeks to analyze educational data in order to improve the learning process. This conference aimed at promoting scientific exchange of interdisciplinary research at the intersection of the learning sciences and information technology. Inspired by the advent of MOOCs and the enormous change that accompanies reflection on education, this conference was created by ACM as a new academic center for the presentation of high quality research on how learning and teaching can change and improve when done to scale.<\/div>\n
