The eMadrid research project about \u201cResearch and development of educational technologies in the Madrid region\u201d has been selected to be funded by the regional government of Madrid with start date of October 2014. The selection of this project implies the continuation of the eMadrid project that has provided excellent results in the period 2010-2014, being a national and international reference in elearning.<\/p>\n
The coordinator of the project, Full Professor Carlos Delgado Kloos, received the diploma of the concession of the project on Wednesday 22 October in the ceremony presided by Ignacio Gonz\u00e1lez, President of the Community of Madrid.<\/p>\n
The eMadrid project will contribute to the advancement and application of information technology in education (elearning), as a continuation of the eMadrid network and facing new challenges in the area and increasing the transfer of knowledge. Having a better education is a key objective for society as it implies best professionals, increasing production and quality, making a better society for all. Improvements in education have a positive impact on parameters such as employability, production or wealth. Educational technologies enable new ways of teaching \/ learning that involve the improvement of the educational process.<\/p>\n
The universities in the consortium are Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M, coordinator, principal investigator: Carlos Delgado Kloos), Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (UAM, principal investigator: Pilar Rodr\u00edguez Mar\u00edn), Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM, principal investigator: Baltasar Fern\u00e1ndez Manj\u00f3n), Universidad Nacional de Educaci\u00f3n a Distancia (UNED, principal investigator: Miguel Rodr\u00edguez Artacho), Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid (UPM, principal investigator: Edmundo Tovar Caro), Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC, principal investigator: Gregorio Robles Mart\u00ednez). Approximately 140 researchers from these 6 partners will participate in the project.\u00a0In addition, this project has 76 associated partners such as universities, companies, research institutes or colleges.<\/p>\n
