Abstract<\/h2>\n

This presentation will cover an overview of the main learning analysis activities carried out by the Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M) from two different points of view: research and implementation\/application at the university. We will review different research studies, including affective learning, behavioral analysis, visual analysis, prediction, clustering, assessment of the learning process, or adaptive learning. Some developed tools will also be presented. In addition, we will comment on the different continuous learning and applied analysis projects at UC3M, analyzing the different political implications.<\/p>\n

Bios<\/h2>\n

Carlos Delgado Kloos is a Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a Doctor of Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich. Since 1996 he has been Professor of Telematics Engineering at the Carlos III University of Madrid, where he is also Director of the Online Master in Management and Production in e-Learning, Director of the GAST Research Group, Director of the UNESCO Chair on “Scalable Digital Education for All \u201d< and Coordinator of the eMadrid network. He is also Vice Chancellor for Strategy and Digital Education.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Pedro J. Mu\u00f1oz-Merino is Visiting Associate Professor at the Carlos III University of Madrid. In 2003, he received the title of Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and in 2009 his doctorate in Telematics Engineering from the Carlos III University of Madrid. He obtained Accreditation for him in 2012 as Associate Professor by the ANECA agency from the Ministry of Education. He has also received several awards, such as the AMPER award for the best Master’s Thesis in Telematics Engineering or a special doctorate award from the Carlos III University of Madrid. He has carried out two long research stays: one in Ireland for more than 3 months at the Intel company in 2005, and another in Germany for more than 6 months at the Fraunhofer Institute of Technology in the period 2009-2010<\/p>\n
