(Madrid, 11 de enero de 2021) <\/strong><\/span>Edmundo Tovar<\/strong>, miembro de la Red eMadrid y coordinador del grupo GICAC de la Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid ha sido nombrado presidente de la Sociedad de Educaci\u00f3n del IEEE (IEEE Education Society). La\u00a0IEEE Education Society<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>es considerado el referente educativo m\u00e1s importante en la Regi\u00f3n IEEE 8 (Europa, Oriente Medio y el norte de \u00c1frica) y es la encargada de organizar eventos de especial relevancia, tales como EDUCON.\u00a0<\/p>\n

La trayectoria de\u00a0Edmundo Tovar<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>es dilatada y sus intereses de investigaci\u00f3n incluyen campos como el de la\u00a0<\/span>educaci\u00f3n abierta, el e-learning o las tecnolog\u00edas de aprendizaje<\/strong>. Ha ejercido como decano asociado de Calidad y Planificaci\u00f3n Estrat\u00e9gica y como director ejecutivo de la Oficina de Educaci\u00f3n Abierta en la Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid.
