On Monday June 30, the 2nd UNESCO Chair Seminar will be held at Legan\u00e9s Campus of Universidad Carlos III of Madrid,\u00a0with the title “Explorando el espacio educativo de MOOCs y SPOCs<\/em>“.<\/p>\n MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) have drawn the interest in educational technology at a global level, showing what you can achieve when implementing Internet technologies to education. But these same technologies can be used for purposes other than those strictly advocated by MOOCs. An example is SPOCs (Small Private Online Courses), in which the field is private and there are a reduced number of students. In short, the MOOC phenomenon has only just light the flame for many other interesting applications of TICs in education.
