Abstract
This talk presents the experience in recording classes at University of Vigo, specifyied in a particular subject. The material used, based on Opencast Matterhorn, the necessary preparation for the recording, as well as the use of this material by students, emphasizing its influence on understanding the subject, is described. Finally its application to the flipped classroom model is addressesed.
Bio
Martin Llamas Nistal is a Telecommunications Engineer (1987) and Doctor of Telecommunications (1994), both from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. His main areas of interest are e-learning and web engineering. He participated and directed several research projects, both public calls (over 30) and private ones (over 25) in regional, national, and international level. He contributed more than 200 publications in journals, books and conferences, both national and international, all peer reviewed. Martín participates in numerous committees of Congress Programmes, such as EDUCON, SIIE, ICALT, CITA, EATIS, IADIS eLearning, CATE, EduTech, TAEE, being the Co-Chair at TAEE2012 and General Chair at EDUCON in 2012, 2013 and 2014 editions. Since 2004 he is heavily involved in the Education Society of IEEE, serving in various positions, where he is currently Vice President for Publications since 2011, Chief Editor of the journal IEEE-RITA and Associate Editor of the IEEE-TLT. He has received several awards both from IEEE and IW3C2.
