«Evaluation of educational resources for learning of programming using eye-tracking techniques»
Ana Isabel MolinaUniversidad de Castilla-La Mancha
Abstract
Evaluation of materials and educational software is one of the main issues to consider prior to their implementation and use. In addition to using classic evaluation techniques (interviews and questionnaires), it may be interesting to use more objective evaluation methods, such as eye-tracking technology or eye tracking. Their use allows to complement the results obtained by the former techniques, which are more subjective, so that the results obtained are more complete and reliable, as this technique is not subject to bias. As a case study of application of this technique, different experiences of evaluation of educational resources in the field of teaching of programming will be discussed.
