Abstract
The fashion of computer games, video games and play applications for smartphones and tablets is a reality that surrounds us and regardless of age. In addition, the pedagogical value of these, to date, is beyond doubt. However, when these applications are released, they rarely take into account the Principles of Design for All and Universal Accessibility. For this reason, many people with disabilities and older people run the risk of being excluded from learning to enjoy. We will review the state of the topic through the following points:
1. “Serious Games”. Can we invite people with sensory, cognitive, physical, mental disabilities?
2. If they are going to become more and more important to acquire skills, can we allow some of the population not to access these tools?
3.”Serious games” to acquire digital skills, blind people, deaf people, people with little skill, to identify emotions, understandable for all people.
4. Our experience in the field of dexterity. SpeedStart and BocciaApp.
5. Helping blind people manage their mobile phone “Brain Training ONCE-Vodafone”.
6. Creating custom games. Mini games on the platform “Mefacilita”.
7. Analyzing the data generated by the games.
