Abstract
The proliferation of mobile technology and wireless networks in the last decade are favoring the creation of new learning contexts. Phenomena such as the Internet of Things and Big Data, adapt environments to promote student performance. This paper presents the results of two experiments in which the different mobile devices are put into practice to adapt the student environment and to favor the learning context in both online classrooms and in classrooms. This presentation aims to motivate the debate about the potential of adaptive systems for learning.
Bio
Bernardo Tabuenca is an Associate Professor at the Technical School of Engineering of Computer Systems at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and teacher at the Official Master in Educational Technology of Bureau Veritas Training. Bernardo graduated from the Open University of The Netherlands in 2015 with the subject “Ubiquitous Technology for Lifelong Learners” and previously obtained the title of Computer Engineer by the Polytechnic University of Madrid. His main areas of interest are mobile learning, ubiquitous technology and open education.
