Abstract
Motivation and feelings are very important when the individual is carrying out any task. This issue is more significant in learning context. Issues like student’s motivation, self-efficacy felt by the student when he/she is doing learning tasks or student’s feelings are critical aspects in learning. This issue is more important in collaborative learning, where these psychological constructors are affected by interactions of students group. This work shows some collaborative learning experiences with students in the classroom, investigating psychological aspects like motivation, self-efficacy and feelings.
Bio
Maximiliano Paredes-Velasco received the computer science degree from Universidad de Sevilla and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Universidad de Castilla – La Mancha, Spain, in 1998 and 2006, respectively. He is currently with the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos as a full time lecturer, where he is a researcher of the Laboratory of Information Technologies in Education (LITE). His research areas include software for and innovation in programming education, Computer Supported Collaborative Learning, mobile computing and human-computer interaction. Prof. Paredes is an affiliate of the Spanish Association for the Advancement of Computers in Education (ADIE).
