Meet the winners of the eMadrid 2018 Awards

The eMadrid network, as part of the call for R&D programs in IT 2013, The eMadrid network, has selected the winners of the eMadrid 2018 Awards, all of them authors of papers in which the theme was wholly or partly related to research or development of educational technology. We would like to thank all the candidates who have participated in this edition for their efforts and to highlight the quality of the work presented.

We announce the winners of each category below:

        • Best doctoral thesis:

          • Winner: José Antonio Ruipérez Valiente (UC3M), «Analyzing the behavior of students regarding learning activities, badges and academic dishonesty in MOOC environment».
          • Honorable mention: Oriol Borrás Gené (UPM), «Técnicas y metodologías para el aprendizaje cooperativo y ubicuo en la construcción de comunidades virtuales mediante MOOC».

        • Best final Master work:

          • Winner: Cristina Alonso Fernández (UCM), «Applying data mining techniques to Game Learning Analytics».
          • Honorable mention: Pedro Manuel Moreno Marcos (UC3M), «Analítica del aprendizaje social en MOOCs: herramienta de visualización y predicción para los foros de edX».

        • Best final Degree project:

          • Winner: Tania Castellano Brasero (URJC), «Creación de una aplicación educativa de realidad aumentada para el primer ciclo de Educación Primaria usando el SDK de Vuforia: EnseñAPP».
          • Honorable mention: Víctor Macías Palla (UAM), por «Herramienta para el modelado predictivo en entornos educativos en línea».

 Next July 2nd, during the celebration of the VIII eMadrid Workshop on “Cyberlearning”, the eMadrid 2018 Awards will be delivered and the awardees will have the chance to present their work.
