Abstract
The short courses are presented as part of the training activities of the I4EU project, Key competences for an European model of Industry 4.0 (https://www.i4eu-pro.eu/es/el -draft/). The project’s short course program is oriented towards four certifications and profiles:
1. I4.0 Junior Technology Professional, Technology-oriented profile.
2. I4.0 Junior Talent Manager, profile oriented to skills and human resources.
3. I4.0 Junior Operations Manager, organization-oriented profile.
4. I4.0 Junior Business Strategy Professional, profile oriented to collaboration and business opportunities
within the professional activities for the updating and European qualification of companies.
The paradigm of COMA courses (MOOCs, Massive Open Online Courses) based on short videos with revised content and the use of experimentation with virtual and remote laboratories are used for teaching the courses.
Bio
Professor of Electronic Technology at the UNED (National University of Distance Education), he has a doctorate in Industrial Engineering from the ETSII/UPM and is an expert in Simulation and Electronics Applications in Remote Engineering and Applied Technology in Teaching. He is a Fellow member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and has been the first non-North American president of its Education Society and the first Spanish elected as a division director of the IEEE. He is an honorary ambassador of the Madrid Convention Bureau, past co-editor of the electronic magazine IEEE-RITA.
