Abstract
Vesa Perälä will cover the status of learning analytics in the global market, challenges, what it takes to produce and utilize learning analytics and why everyone should be doing it. I will write a proper abstract shortly.
Bio
International serial entrepreneur with over 25-year experience and success in building up new businesses and companies. During the last 15 years, Mr. Perälä has founded companies in 5 countries and exited successfully from 4 of the ventures so far. He focuses on sales, new business development, and strategic partnership creation. All start-ups he has been involved with, have a strong foundation in data. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Mr. Perälä was a senior exec at Nokia, Jabra, and Coloplast for nearly 15 years. At Jabra, he run a division of app. $500M in revenue and over 300 employees. As CEO of Web of Trust, he grew the company to over 140 million users, and closed data deals with Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Yandex, and Mail.ru. Mr. Perälä is also the chairman of Education Finland, the national education export program.
