Call for papers! for the VI Learning with MOOCS Conference
{ Madrid, 29 apr. 2019 } If you would like to attend the next Learning with MOOCS Conference as a speaker, have a look at the call for papers, open until 1 May 2019. The sixth edition of this international event (second under the IEEE Education Society organization) will be held in October 2019 in Milwaukee, USA. «Enhancing Workforce Diversity and Inclusion» is the main theme of the LWMOOCS 2019 Conference. As we reported, Madrid hosted this conference last year (for the first time outside the United States), with the special collaboration of eMadrid, who organized this seminar: «MOOCs as part of the future of digital learning».
We’re looking forward to receive your abstracts!
- Please review the Conference website
- Deadlines and topics for discussion
The conference will take place on the campus of the Milwaukee School of Engineering, the university of choice for those seeking an inclusive community of experiential learners driven to solve the complex challenges of today and tomorrow.
The organizing committee calls for submissions from a variety of disciplines and topics. They encourage submissions that build on the theme of enhancing workforce diversity and inclusion. All submissions will be double-blind peer-reviewed, and a selection will be chosen to present a vibrant program that maximizes time for discussion and participation through a single-track threaded with poster sessions, full-length paper presentations, shorter lighting-round presentations, active-learning workshops and keynote presentations from leading experts.
To Manuel Castro (professor at the UNED and IEEE Fellow) and Edmundo Tovar (professor at the UPM), both organizers of the past LWMOOCS Conference in Spain and members of the eMadrid network, «it’s important to emphasize the character of these events, their social and international dimension, as well as the high interactivity of the sessions, that allows us to deepen our understanding of the contents»
