Call for papers for the eMadrid Workshop on Smart Education in next UCAml (2-5 December, Toledo)

{ Madrid, July 15, 2019 } The eMadrid network will offer a workshop within the next UCAml (13th International Conference on Ubiquitous Computing and Ambient Intelligence), a congress related to the main research area of this group, educational technologies, scheduled from 2 to 5 December 2019 in the city of Toledo (Spain). The eMadrid Workshop will be held on December 2 and will be focused on the concept of «smart education». The eMadrid network has opened a «call for papers» for this occasion: candidates can send their proposals (on the topics announced) until 9 September 2019

The workshop will include a discussion panel, with delegates from the six universities collaborating in eMadrid project. The works selected after this call for papers will also be presented in this session.

This workshop will be focused on the use of technology to support smart education and will pay special attention to the following topics:

  • Application of sensors and actuators in education
  • Pedagogies for smart classrooms
  • Spaces for smart education
  • Data science for intelligent education
  • Teaching and learning based on learning analytics
  • Geolocalization and augmented reality
  • Mixed realities for smart education
  • Human-machine-based forums
  • Conversational agents in an educational context
