Abstract

Peer assessment activities could be one of the few scalable personalized assessment alternatives in Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) environments and the only option to provide a formative assessment. One of the main handicaps of conducting peer review activities, especially when scoring is used as part of summative assessment, is that it adds a high degree of uncertainty to grades. Through an analysis of the reliability of the peer evaluations carried out in 63 MOOCs, different factors have been analyzed.
