eMadrid Network participates on a "Sustainability" Special Issue

Carmen Fernández Panadero, a member of the eMadrid network, a professor at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a member of the GAST group (Group of Telematic Applications and Services), will be one of the editors of the special issue of the magazine ‘Sustainability’: “Sustainable Technology and Elderly Life”. She will do it together with Professor Dr. Ana Iglesias (UC3M), Professor Dr. Jorge Morato (UC3M) and Professor Dr. Sonia Sánchez-Cuadrado (UCM).
This Special Issue aims to collect contributions to cover the research gaps in sustainable technology for elderly life, providing a reference resource to the scientific community working in this area.. The intention is to have a forum that collects current proposals that address the different challenges present in this field and aspire to a future where healthy aging with sustainable technology is possible. Specifically, the issues of the issue will revolve around topics such as the elderly-friendly interfaces in robotics, sensor technologies for the elderly, data science AI applications and / or artificial intelligence to process data collected by sensors with the objective to improve healthy aging, among others.

Sustainability (ISSN 2071-1050) is an international, cross-disciplinary, scholarly, peer-reviewed and open access journal of environmental, cultural, economic, and social sustainability of human beings.
