eMadrid talk this week in SIMO 2017 about Learning Analytics
Four researchers associated with the eMadrid network project will present practical examples of the advances in the field of learning analytics this week at SIMO 2017 (Learning Technology Exhibition). This important event it’s been celebrated at IFEMA (Feria de Madrid), at Hall 12, a space where the most innovative technology and the best education walk together.
Learning analytics will be the main point of this talks, a system that allows to obtain and cross data about how students use educational applications. The aim is to achieve a better understanding of the educational process in order to improve it. During this session, scheduled on October 26 at 10:30 am in the Blue Room of Hall 12, eMadrid team will introduce three practical cases about the use of learning analytics.
The speakers are: Raquel Hijón (professor and researcher in Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, URJC) and Miguel García Iruela (associate professor in URJC), who will talk about «Analytics of learning in high school courses»; Baltasar Fernández Manjón (full professor in Universidad Complutense de Madrid, UCM), who will focus on «Learning Analytics to improve the application of educational games in school»; and Pedro J. Muñoz Merino (professor and researcher in Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, UC3M), in relation to the «Analytical Indicators for Student Follow-Up».
