eMadrid members (UC3M and UAM) offer MOOCs on edX

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, which form part of eMadrid project, have joined the list of prestigious international universities offering MOOCs on edX, a platform for massive open online courses created by MIT and Harvard University.

The courses offered by UC3M on this platform are as follows:

• Educación para una sociedad del conocimiento
• Documentary! New trends, new formats / ¡Documental! Nuevas tendencias, nuevos formatos
• Descubriendo la pintura europea de 1400 a 1800 / Explaining European Paintings, 1400 to 1800
• Caer o No caer. El secreto de las estructuras
• In addition, next April UC3M will participate in the new edX “High School” initiative offering a MOOC on introduction to programming with Java.

UAM offers the following courses on edX:

• La España de El Quijote
• Jugando con Android, Aprende a programar tu primera App
• Transplante de órganos – desafíos éticos y jurídicos. Organ transplantation – ethical and legal challenges
• La química orgánica – Un mundo a tu alcance. Organic chemistry – A world at your fingertips
