Abstract
The movement of massive and open online courses (MOOC) within universities, as well as the appearance of non-massive and private online courses (SPOC), has revealed a whole series of advantages and disadvantages as well as mistakes made. Are these models valid? Are they fashion? Before any change of paradigm and appearance of technologies. mistakes are always made, rejection occurs and you have to be thoughtful but, in any case, evolution is necessary. Difundi wants every organization to participate in this evolution, with the help of a team of experts, a very easy-to-use technological solution and data.
Bio
An Industrial Engineer from the University of Seville, he began his professional career as a researcher in the Department of Systems and Automation and then began to undertake business projects. He has participated in the design of great solutions for the public and private sector, in Europe and the USA, for almost two decades based on open standards and implementations based on free software. Co-founder of several companies in the sector such as Difundi, TangramBPM or Yaco, he has participated in the creation of several organizations to promote innovation and collaboration networks. Since the end of 2011, when he learned about the Khan Academy and participated in the Introduction to Artificial Intelligence course at Stanford University, the first successful global massive course, he became interested in online learning, its pedagogical and technological foundations, and the revolution that was taking place. occurring with the MOOC phenomenon. In August 2012 he began the development of OpenMOOC with the UNED, in what was the first open source project for MOOC. After a visit to Palo Alto he formed Difundi with partners in the USA and Spain taking the newly started technology. Currently, more than 220,000 users, 100 courses, in six languages and distributed throughout the world endorse the open source technological solution on which Difundi is built.
