«How to set up a free software office and not die trying»

Juan Julián Merelo

UGR

Abstract

A free software office is nothing more than a community of users and enthusiasts that, by some whim of fate, is inside a university. As such, it has the same problems as any other user community, with the added problem that its geographical, labor and population framework is terribly broad. In this talk we will tell what we have done at the University of Granada to organize and in some cases create this community, what initiatives have been successful, what obstacles we have faced and how we have overcome them over these four years.

Bio
