In its twelfth edition, the eMadrid Conference focuses its interest on the evolution of educational technologies and future challenges. At a time when students need to be trained to practice professions that do not yet exist, concepts such as the metaverse, artificial intelligence, IoT in education and new educational models are especially relevant. After the pandemic, E-learning has established itself as a key element to be able to maintain education and teaching in extraordinary circumstances, and its determining role has become clear. The experts and researchers who are going to participate in the XII eMadrid Conference will talk about it.

The event will take place on June 30th and July 1st in a hybrid way. As always, the eMadrid Workshop (a project that brings together researchers from UC3M, UAM, UCM, UPM, UNED and URJC) will be free and open to the general public with prior registration (here).

  • Topics we will talk about: evolution of E-Learning and future prospects, metaverse, new educational models, IoT in education, Artificial Intelligence, etc. The various presentations and panel sessions at the 12th eMadrid Workshop will revolve around these questions.
  • Who is interested in attending: all those people who, whether or not they come from the education sector, are convinced of the need to understand their profound digital transformation, especially in these times.

Finally, our program includes the delivery of the eMadrid Awards 2022. The jury will recognize three award categories: best Bachelor’s thesis (TFG), best Master’s thesis (TFM) and best PhD. The winners of this edition are:

  • Carlos Jiménez Guerra, Best Bachelor Thesis (“Laboratorio virtual de electrónica basado en Unity”).
  • Pablo García Zarza, Best Master Thesis (“Diseño e implementación de una aplicación
distribuida semántica para el apoyo del aprendizaje ubicuo relacionado con el patrimonio cultural”)
